American Currency
The currency is US Dollars. The current conversion rate is around 1.67 US Dollars to 1 British Pound (Sept 2009) and the pound has significantly weakened against the dollar over the last year or two. You can perform an up to date currency check on the Expedia website here.
The United States Postal Service
Known more simply as USPS, they have an excellent website here and have a pretty good reputation worldwide.
UK retailers delivering to America
There are a growing number of top UK based online retailers who either have operations in America (enabling them to deliver there) or deliver directly to America using one of a number of postal options. We list them on the site here. Obvious recent examples of successful British E-tailers who have opened in America are Hotel Chocolat and Firebox.
Payment methods
Obviously, if you are ordering from a UK retailer then you will pay by credit/debit card as normal; even if your item is for delivery in America.
If you are ordering from one of our American based retailers listed (they will usually have a domain ending in '.com') - again you will be able to order with most recognised cards, such as Visa or Mastercard. The relevant sites checkout will almost always allow you to pay in a range of currencies or will have a currency converter in their checkout.
